The details
01Legal framework and risk review
The policy refers to applicable Curaçao player-identification, unusual-transaction, sanctions and gaming requirements; Curaçao Gaming Authority AML guidance; FIU requirements; FATF standards; and relevant laws, licence conditions and payment rules. References to former NAf amounts use the equivalent Caribbean guilder (Cg/XCG) value unless law or a regulator requires otherwise.
Checks consider location and IP data, payment ownership, transaction amount and frequency, gameplay, VPN use, linked accounts or shared devices, sanctions, politically exposed person status, adverse information, source of funds or wealth, fraud and chargeback risk. Reviews can occur at registration, during use, around deposits or withdrawals, or later. A business risk review may be carried out at least annually and after significant changes. Unmanageable risk can lead to refusal, delay, restriction, closure or reporting.
02Identity and payment ownership
Anonymous, false-name, mule, evasive duplicate and third-party accounts are prohibited. Checks may use identity and address documents, payment records, databases, public information, screening services and third-party verification. False or forged information, refusal to provide required documents or failed verification may result in blocked transactions, restricted access, closure or reporting.
Payment methods must belong to the player. KIXO9 does not knowingly accept cash, anonymous or stolen funds, false payment details, unapproved third-party payments, sanctioned payments or transactions concealing their owner, source or destination. Where possible, withdrawals and refunds return through the original payment method. Payments may be delayed, rejected, reversed, held or reviewed for legal, fraud or compliance reasons.
03Thresholds are review triggers, not exemptions
| Trigger | Possible action |
|---|---|
| Cg4,000 or more (formerly NAf4,000), or equivalent | Identity verification may be required. |
| Cg5,000 or more (formerly NAf5,000), or equivalent | Transaction review and reporting may be required. |
These checks can cover deposits, withdrawals, refunds, credits, cash-outs and cashless transactions, including linked or repeated transactions within one gaming period. Smaller suspicious transactions are also reviewed. Splitting payments to avoid checks is prohibited.
04Activity that can prompt a review
Examples include depositing and withdrawing with little play; payments owned by someone else; duplicate accounts; forged documents; avoiding checks; repeated smaller payments; location masking; third-party withdrawals; shared credentials or false information; and accounts used mainly to move funds. KIXO9 may request evidence, delay or freeze transactions, restrict or close an account, and report through an approved FIU channel.
Higher-risk countries and customers can require extra identity, address, payment-ownership, source-of-funds or source-of-wealth evidence. Current official FATF, Curaçao, sanctions and partner requirements inform checks. Confirmed sanctions can require freezing funds, blocking transactions, closing accounts and reporting. Where disclosure is prohibited, KIXO9 cannot tell the player about a report or investigation; staff and partners must not tip off those involved.
05Records and oversight
Records include registration, verification, payments, gameplay, screening, source-of-funds material, review notes, suspicious-activity records, reports and closures. They are kept for at least 5 years, and longer where law, a regulator, an investigation, a dispute or an internal compliance need requires it. Access is authorised and sharing must be lawful, including with payment and verification providers, regulators, law enforcement, the FIU, courts, advisers and other authorised parties.
An appointed compliance officer, role-based staff training, partner due diligence and screening tools support the policy. Independent review may occur at least annually or when required. The policy can be updated as obligations change. For account checks, contact support and read the KYC policy and Privacy Policy.
